The mint leaves contained protein , fat, carbohydrates , fibers and mineral in the following percentages 4.8 , 1.6 , 7.0 , 2.0 , 1.6 respectively, in addition to the above it contained other essential nutrients.
Mint oil specific gravity , optical rotation, refractive index were(0.904 ,  -25 , 1.465) respectively. Its solubility was 4.3% expressed as oil volume /alcohol concentration .

 Volatile oils were identified by (GLC)and was found contain ? , ? – pinene, Limonene, Eucalyptol, ? , ? – Thujone, Linalool, menthone, menthol and Linalylacetate at the following percentages (1.86, 10.31, 1.98, 0.66, 0.80, 22.95, 1.87, 45.48 respectively.
