Objectives of this work
Upon completion of this course, the student t should be able to : 1- Explain the prolog language structure and implementation. 2- Identify the main concepts (keyword, atomic and numeric …etc) of prolog and represent of knowledge representation. 3- Understand the search in prolog language. . 4- Write code to understand the family relations using programming in logic. 5- Explain the main knowledge representation methods for family relations and questions. .
1. Introduction Can a computer be intelligent? What would it mean for a computer to be intelligent? John McCarthy, one of the founders of artificial intelligence research, once defined the field as “getting a computer to do things which, when done by people, are said to involve intelligence.” The point of the definition was that he felt perfectly comfortable about carrying on his research without first having to defend any particular philosophical view of what the word “intelligence” means .
