Benign Diseases of the Uterine Body: Endometrial Polyp:
It represents focal hyperplasia of the endometrium,usually solitary .It can develop at any time in woman s life .The patient s tend to present with intermenstrual bleeding or menorrhagia.
Postcoital bleeding ,or something protrudes through the vagina .
Treatment:
Dilitation and curettage with polypectomy .

It s benign tumor of uterine smooth muscle ,affecting 20-30% of women .
Classification:
Subserosal fibroid: located outside the outer border of the myometrium.
Intramural fibroid: located within the myometrium.
Submucus fibroid: the tumor protrudes through the uterine cavity.
Pathology:
Macroscopic appearance : fibroid presents as single or multiple .
Microscopic findings : the tumor has characteristic whorled arrangement tissue bundles.It s center may show different types of degenerations.
Types of Degenerative changes: Red degenerations.
Hyaline degeneration.
Calcification.
Malignant changes.
