Contraindications to the Use of Oxytocin
1. Absence of proper indication
2. Absence of the prerequisites

5. Previous classical cesarean section or extensive myomectomy
6. Hypertonic or incoordinate uterus: The hypertonic or incoordinate

7. Maternal exhaustion: This condition should be treated by rest and
fluids, not by oxytocin stimulation
8. Abnormal FHR pattern: Not only should oxytocin not be given, but
the appearance of an irregular or slow heart while the drip is running
demands that the drip be stopped
