The pronunciation of the past tense form of regular verbs.

1.    The ending of past tense form is pronounced (id)

 when the verb ends with (t  or  d).

e.g

heat              heated                hate             hated

add               added                 decide          decided.

2.    The ending is pronounced (d)

 when the verb ends in a voiced sound.

e.g

show            showed               rob                 robbed

learn             learned               raise              raised.

   3. The ending is pronounced (t)
