General Rules

 The followings are some features of auxiliary verbs;

1.    The negative is formed by putting (not) after the auxiliary.

e.g

I must not                   he has  not

They do not.

2.    The interrogative is formed by inverting the subject

and the auxiliary verb;

e.g

Can he?      May we ?    Must I?

3.    The modal auxiliaries are uninflected ,i.e, all persons have the same form.
