Verbs and Tenses

Verbs

      There are two classes of verbs in English;

The auxiliary verbs; be, have, do, shall, will, may, can, must,       need, dare, ought, and used.

All other verbs, which may be called "ordinary verbs" such as, speak, write, play, etc……

Ordinary Verbs

     Ordinary verbs are all conjugated in the same way. But some of them are irregular, in that they do not follow the same rules in the formation of their simple past tense and past participle forms.
