1. Gender
Gender is a category that specifies whether a noun masculine , feminine , common or neutral.
e.g.
man
boy
girl
woman
fox
vixen
teacher
stone
In English there is no grammatical gender but
" natural gender" or
"the expression of sex" .
The gender of a noun English only affects its pronoun and possessive adjective
There are four genders :
A . masculine – male sex (human beings and animals) .
e.g.
man
boy
dog
fox
husband
father
son
nephew
horse
gentle man
Mr .
b. feminine–female sex . (human beings and animals) .
e.g.
woman
girl
daughter
mother
niece
lioness
vixen
mare
cow
Mrs .
c. common–either sex . (human beings and animals) .
e.g.
baby
child
teacher
nurse
doctor
driver
animal
