1- Present Perfect Tense
The present perfect tense is a rather important tense in English, but it gives speakers of some
languages a difficult time. That is because it uses concepts or ideas that do not exist in those
languages. In fact, the structure of the present perfect tense is very simple. The problems
come with the use of the tense. In addition, there are some differences in usage between
British and American English.

1- Form
S + have + p.p
has
Examples: I have seen this film.
She has typed the letters.
2- The Present perfect tense is used to describe an action which is now completed and its
effect is still present.
- I ve typed the letters. (They are now on the table ready to be typed)
-She s broken her leg. (It s still broken)
3- The following adverbs are used with this tense:
Just, already, recently, lately, this week, since, for, and yet.
Examples:
- She has just written a letter.
- She has already written a letter.
- She has not written a letter yet.
- He has lived her since 1999.
- He has had a bad luck lately.
