2- The Present perfect tense is used to describe an action which is now completed and its effect is still present.
- I ve typed the letters. (They are now on the table ready to be typed)
-She s broken her leg. (It s still broken)
3- The following adverbs are used with this tense:
Just, already, recently, lately, this week, since, for, and yet.
Examples:
- She has just written a letter.
- She has already written a letter.
- She has not written a letter yet.
- He has lived her since 1999.
- He has had a bad luck lately.

2 - Many gases (dissolve, are dissolving, have dissolved) in liquids.
3- Newton s laws (lead, have led) to useful advances in science and engineering.
4- Weight (is, has, been) the gravitational force that the earth (exerts, has exerted , is exerting) on a body.
5- Light (deflects, has deflected, is deflecting) when it (passes, is passing, has passed) through water.
6- Recently, the amount of carbon dioxide, produced by the modern factories all over the world, (increase, is increasing, has increased).
7- When a substance (is heated, has been heated), the spaces between its molecules (become, have become) larger.
