Psychology
Scope
of Psychology:-
Psychology is the study of the mind and behaviour. Psychologists
study the mental experiences and behaviour of people. Psychology emphasizes on
the study of on individual during his lifetime.
Some psychologists
investigate the neural mechanisms underlying sensation and perception by studying
the structure and function of the eye or the ear. Their methods and their background
usually are similar to those of psychologists interested in the sensory processes.
Some psychologists work with emotionally disturbed people or with patients in
hospitals or clinics, and their training is often similar to that of psychiatrists.
Psychologists also try to discover techniques for designing and operating machines
that will most efficiently take advantage of the special characteristics of man.
Others study the man at his job, as an individual in a group or society. They
may consider the effect of union membership or Participation in various kinds
of company programs on moral and attitudes. Psychologists also work on the
development of testing programs ranging from intelligence test to measurements
of specific kinds of aptitudes or abilities. There are many psychologists
involved with the development of theories of behaviour.
