1. Purpose of Department of Metallic Materials Engineering The aim of this department is to graduate qualified engineers capable of dealing with metallic materials engineering fields such as: design and accomplish casting and welding components and all other aspects of manufacturing process and selection of materials for different applications and thermo- mechanical treatment of materials. In addition to forming, marching, inspection, and improving properties of materials.
2. Targets of Non- metallic Materials Department This department aims to graduate engineers specialized in ceramic, polymeric, and composite engineering of materials, regarding designing, manufacturing, and production in addition to mechanical treatments.

College Goals

1. The College aims to prepare qualified engineers with skills that enable them to practice work in the field of metallic materials engineering and nonmetallic materials engineering which they are embraced of designing, executing of casts, weldment and different manufacturing operations, selection of engineering materials and prepare it for industry sectors , heat treatment and metal forming in addition to testing and inspection and improving materials properties. The College is also specialized in ceramic materials study and polymer and composite materials design, manufacturing and producing and all kinds of mechanical and thermal treatment.
