Governmental contracts section
- Section manager's duties:
- Supervising the performance in the section.
- Following through the work of all units.
- Represent the university in meetings and conferences in the range of the section
- Giving suggestions to form committees connected with the duties of the section.
Following through unit duties:
- Requirements of taking possession of lands for university projects.
- Carrying out university projects and follow through accomplishing them.
- Carrying out the legal procedures in case the contracting party violate the contract.
- Close the ended contracts of the shops, kiosks, public squares that belong to the
- Formulate estimation, opening, analyzing, receiving and delivering committees.
- Making sure from the needed official papers in forming a contract(acquittance, identities,
companies classifications, insurance letter and the general power of attorney).
- Following through the monthly report for investments balance sheet prepared by engineering
- Provinces improvement projects accomplished for the benefit of the university.
- Respond to university colleges about the ministry official books.
Contracting unit duties:
- Prepare the official papers of the tender (administratively) and arranging with
engineering affairs department.
- Announce the tenders.
- Forming committees for opening and analyzing the tenders bid offers and arranging
with engineering, financial, legal, interior surveillance affairs department.
- Execute the procedures of the tender and make rough plans for the contracts arranging
with governmental contracts department at the ministry.
- Cooperating with estimation, receiving and delivering committees.
- Prepare the announcements of the auctions.
- Prepare the official papers of the auction and send them to the selling and renting
committee in the university.
- Execute the procedures of the tender and make rough plans for the contracts.
- Addressing the financial affairs department to release bidder's collateral guarantees.
Electronic archives unit:
- Making electronic archives for projects dossiers, auctions files and unit formal
- Internet and electronic correspondence.
- Printing the official books connected with the work of the unit.
- Following through buying and supplying the unit with requirements needed arranging
with purchases committee.
Importation unit duties Importing and supplying the university with the equipments
for the contracts which their expenses are more than 5000000 dinar.
Investment unit duties:
- Make arrangements with intended authority in the university to propose investment
- Following through the official books of the ministry of higher education and scientific
research\ development and projects department.
- Make arrangements with Babylon investment department about investment projects and
does what is necessary to issue investment projects certificate.
- Following through the work of the committees connected with investment projects.
